Some of the students from our class (and a few from 3/3) were taking part in a quiz cum nation-wide competition titled "Discovering Singapore". Organised by Singapore Discovery Centre, our team has gotten into the Semi-Finals and are competing with 3 teams from other schools today at the SDC. I went as a supporter.

When we reached our destination, it began to rain heavily. We got a bit drenched in the process of getting into the building. We felt relieved stepping into the air-conditioned SDC.

The other 3 teams competing were Deyi Secondary School, Gan Eng Seng Secondary School and Compassvale Secondary School. Before the quiz, the teams took turns to decide the order for their answers for Round 1. Our team took Team D position.

At the end of Round 1, our team only had 10 points and was the last at that point. At the end of Round 2, we were confirmed last. Apparently, we could have gotten more points if not for a "Trap" which took away all their points. Deyi and Compassvale went into the Bonus Round, where Deyi won by a huge margin and could proceed into the Finals with three other schools.

While waiting for the bus back to school, Sharlene and the girls had an animated conversation with Little George. He's a life-size robot (why Little George?) who has a "brain" in the form of a personnel in a control room. In the end, Little George learned some things: that Sharlene had a crush on a boy from *toot* (censored to protect the privacy of Sharlene) and that NAN HUA ROCKS!!!!! Sharlene also told Little George to tell every passer-by that NAN HUA ROCKS!!!! ... Duh.

And, oh, guess what? I could have taken part and our team might have won. Honestly.
