The Inter-Class Debate Competition was held this afternoon. I went down to the debate room which the first debate I was going to adjudicate was assigned to. However, while one of the teams was present waiting, one team didn't show up after all the other debates had begun. After a short discussion with Miss Chan, this debate was cancelled and the team which was present went automatically into the Semi Finals. That's the reward for being responsible.

Since it was still a long way to the second debate of the day, I sat in one of the debate rooms to watch the debate. The teams for the second debate were present, so I could adjudicate. The motion for this was "This House believes that housewives should be paid for their work." It was a fairly easy decision to make as to which team gets into the Semi Finals.
