At the start of our PE lesson today, the boys had to do pull-up. I could only do one... (But it's better than nothing.) Mr. Chee gave tips on how to train our muscles for pull-up. My target for next year's NAPFA test is 3 pull-ups at least. Work hard!

Left class at 1 pm to prepare for the fire safety skit competition preliminary round today. We rehersed a few more times in costume, put on our makeup and made our way on a minibus to Compassvale Secondary School in Sengkang, the venue of the round.
We were ushered to a holding room upon arrival. When it was time for our turn, we moved to the library, where we performed to 3 judges who seemed to have a very leisurely time. They had food on their tables, and they were chatting all along.
We left after some time. I bought nail polish remover to remove all those red nail polish my friends painted on my hands and legs. We got to take the Sengkang LRT (although only for one stop, from Compassvale to Sengkang), then the NEL (from Sengkang to Dhoby Gauht for some and Outram Park for me and the rest), and finally the MRT towards Boon Lay. I followed Ms Junaidah as I had to help her carry the CD player. We took a taxi to Bukit Batok, where she dropped me off outside the Bukit Batok East Community Club. I walked home from there.

Today is Sunday. It's the last day the musical "Forbidden City" will be performing. So sad...it shouldn't end.
Anyway, went to Westmall to buy the black ink cartridge for my printer. Had a frustrating time replacing the cartridge. Also intended to buy the Express Chinese handbooks from Secondary 1 to 4, but the shelves only had the one for Secondary 3. Bought it anyway.

Full-dress rehersal for the fire safety skit competition in the morning. Not too bad. I also got to listen to the Forbidden City CD. Yeah!
Councillor Monthly Meeting in the afternoon. The highlight of the day was the game session. We played poison ball. I didn't want to stop. (Maybe partly because I got hit pretty soon after a game starts...) I had fun. I'm sure the rest did too.

During Biology lesson, we had a very funny lesson. I swear I have never laughed so much in one hour.
After school, we had the revision test for Secondary 1 and 2 Express Chinese vocabulary. A total of 130 questions, and we had to finish them within one hour. And they were not multiple choice questions. Miraculously, I finished within about 45 minutes.
The "dancing fire" people for the fire skit then practiced the dance with music. It wasn't bad.
All right then, good night!

There was a meeting with the Secondary 1 Councillors this afternoon to discuss about the post-exam activities for the Secondary 1 students, to be organised by the Sec 1 Councillors. A few EXCO members were present as guides.
The meeting didn't go as smoothly as planned. In the end, though, we did decide on the three games to be played by the students. The trial will be this Saturday morning, before the monthly meeting.

After Assembly this afternoon, I accompanied a few girls from the fire safety skit to Clementi Central to buy costumes for our role - FIRE. We settled on a black jacket with red linings and a red sleeveless shirt to be worn inside. All were to wear the same things - exactly the same things, even the sizes. Only the bottoms were going to be different.
When we returned to the school, Sharlene had written a song to be sung at the end of the skit. It was brilliantly written. We choreographed the dance later, and it looked cool. We ended at 6 pm.

EXCO meeting in the morning. Visit to the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay in the afternoon to watch the musical "Forbidden City - Portrait of an Empress". The school paid for 5 classes of Sec 3 students to go. The 5 classes were 3/1, 3/2, 3/3, 3/4 and 3/6. Verdict: BRILLIANT! AMAZING! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! I WANT TO WATCH AGAIN FREE!
Er...yea, free...

There was a Chinese mock test after school today. Didn't study for it, but it was still okay.
Survivor: Pearl Islands premiered tonight in Singapore! It was awesome! Brilliant! Whatever good words you can think of!

Today's Assembly programme is the Inter-Class Debate Final for Secondary 3. Our class, the Opposition, was against 3/4, the Proposition. The motion was "This House would legalise all drugs". In the end, 3/4 emerged champions. Lesson learnt: I must never be third speaker of a debate team again!
Then for ELDDS, we came up with a brand new storyline for the fire safety skit, courtesy of Sharlene and Eileen. Meaning to say, there would be a change in people involved. I'm still in. (I'm not grumbling.)

Great news - the preliminary round for the fire safety skit competition has been postponed to 29 September. Meaning to say, 1) our rehersals need not be so tight anymore, and 2) I can definitely go watch Forbidden City!

Before the 1st meeting of the 11th Student Council EXCO, Kegan and I had a meeting with Miss Ang to practise our oral examination. We (actually, to be specific, I, since the EXCO meeting started at 8.30 am and Kegan came late) did the passage reading and the picture description. I thought I would have done badly for the picture description, because I really couldn't think of anything else to say. Kegan's turn will come after the EXCO meeting.
The EXCO and Bernice (the 10th EXCO's President) gathered in Canteen 2, where we first presented our respective action plans for the Council. During the meeting, it started to rain very heavily. Nevertheless, we continued, with Kegan, the new President, giving a very inspirational speech.
The teachers, namely Mrs. Lim LS, Miss Wassan and Miss Ang, came at around 9.20 am. We decided to move into the Conference Room to continue our meeting. For the following two and a half hours we froze in the Conference Room while listening to the teachers briefing us about our job scopes (or Job Specs). Didn't sound easy to me...
We dismissed at 12.10 pm. Some of the EXCO members were going to Seoul Garden for lunch. I wasn't, so I headed home, after Miss Ang told me there were enough people in the car (I think they went in Miss Ang's car) to assess Kegan's oral practice.

First piece of news I heard when I reached school in the morning: I'm in the 11th Student Council EXCO as Head of Discipline (Lower Secondary). Keeping that piece of news in mind, I continued with the day's activities.
In the morning, I went on an NE (National Education) Journey with my class and 2 other classes (3/3 and 3/7) to the NEWater Visitor Centre at Bedok. Well...I can't really describe my feelings at the Visitor Centre in words, so I won't talk much here. You will have to go there to experience it yourself. We received a bottle of NEWater each as a gift.
Then, for the afternoon, our class had a badminton outing at Clementi CC, the place where we had our first badminton outing. Compared to the last outing, this one was dominated by the males of the class. What was originally scheduled to end at 5 pm ended at 6 pm instead with 4 people left, including me. My muscles are all sore at the end of the day.
Which means, I'll need an early night. Good night!

Went to school this morning to settle the Fire Safety Skit Competition script and stuff. We finished draft one of the script and decided on the costume.

This afternoon, I attended a Cardiovascular Workshop at Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a group of students consisting of some 3/1 students, some 3/2 students and one 3/6 student. It was supposed to start at 2.15 pm, but we only started at 2.35 pm because another school was doing the course.
Anyway, we were split up into 3 groups. My group (consisting of me, Quan Ming, Xianglong, Shan Ying [the 3/6 guy], Yu Tian, Shifang, Siang Yong and Kang Ting) went into the room dealing with stethoscopes for the 1st part of our workshop. The 2nd part was about the ECG, and the 3rd was on blood pressure. We ended very late (well, later than scheduled). We went back to school at around 4.55 pm.

Today, Kegan and Yan Chen came over to my house. The original purpose was to work on our Geography project. In the end we ended up singing for the whole afternoon. What we did do was to lay out the structure of our report and find some websites that can help us in our Geography project. We couldn't do much anyway, with two of our members missing (Abraham had church, Yen Nee had tuition).
Oh well.
Oh well.

ELDDS Saturday sesssions begin today. Basically, the purpose is to train up the Secondary 1 and 2 members of ELDDS for the SYF competition in two years' time. The time was a little short, so for future sessions, we decided to extend to the usual 2 hours. Well...that's all, basically.

Tonight was the night. The Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations organised by our school was a blast. (With a little hiccups, that is.)
The event started a little past 7.30 pm. My role tonight was to usher the guests up and down the stage, and also to recite the English version of "Chuan Deng", loosely translated as "Passing On The Light".
During the Indian dance, I was asked to speak to a reporter from Friday Weekly. Scary, nerve-wrecking...whatever you want to call that experience. The reporter ended up thinking of the words for me (they described my thoughts and feelings...I wasn't good on expressing my thoughts in Chinese).
The highlight of the night was the "Passing On The Light" ceremony. It symbolises the passing down of the Chinese tradition from generation to generation. After eating a few more mooncakes, I went home.

The Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) for Secondary 1s and 3s was scheduled on this date. My father came at 5 pm and we took a short time talking to Mr. Pandian. After that, I helped out at our class until 8 pm in the night.

There was an Operation Clean Up after school today. 2 hours of CIP (Community Involvement Programme) will be added to our record when we are done. Basically we cleaned up our classroom, but a few were a bit not willing to let their beautiful tables get wiped clean...(they drew things on their tables as identification). After they were wiped, the students drew on them again.
After a short ELDDS meeting (to take photos for the Nostalgia Photo Contest), I rushed off to the Student Lounge for the debrief meeting of the Teacher's Day Celebrations. After the meeting, we cleaned up the Student Lounge and slacked for the rest of the day.

The voting of the President and Vice-President of the 11th Student Council happened after school today. I voted for *CONFIDENTIAL*. Hehe...
Then at 3.30 pm, we had the Protem interviews. On my turn, the questions asked were *CONFIDENTIAL AGAIN*. Hehe...

Went to Jurong Point's Seoul Garden for lunch with the class, Mr. Pandian, his wife and Ms Ang. This is my first time eating at Seoul Garden, so I wasn't that used to the procedures etc. We finished our lunch at around 1.30 pm, where we "went our separate ways" from there.
Once I reached home, I went into a dilemma...Mr. Pandian wanted me to attend this workshop titled "Discover Flight: Against Gravity" on Wednesday. It was a whole day event, from 8 am to 6 pm. While this means I can get to skip classes, I have to skip ELDDS too. And for ELDDS this week, my "fire safety skit" team and I have to present our skit to Miss J. Which should I go?!
